Cultural Anthropology Student Wins Prize
Cultural Anthropology student, Alejandra Mayer won the Concurso Cultural Hungría – America Latina 2019 contest in her category. 

The culture studies competition was organized by the Eötvös Loránd University Latin-America Research Centre in coordination with the General Directorate for Latin America and the Caribbean of  the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as the Embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru. The competition aims to boost knowledge and links between Latin America and Hungary. Secondary school students, university students, doctoral students, young researchers could apply.

Alejandra Mayer who studies at Cultural Anthropology MA at ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences won the first price in the category of university students. The title of her work was El exilio húngaro en el arte mexicano de la segunda mitad del siglo XX dentro del círculo artístico de Remedios Varo y Leonora Carrington (Hungarian exile in Mexican art from the second half of the XX. century within the artistic circle of Remedios Varo and Leonora Carrington). Her tutor was Richárd Papp. Congratulations!
