Faculty of Social Sciences, ELTE (H–1117 Budapest, Pázmány Péter sétány 1/A, Room 2.139) & online
The goal of the workshop is to foster dialogue among various disciplines that contribute to the One Health approach, endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), UNEP (UN Environment Programme), and the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).
The One Health approach promotes an integrated and holistic strategy to address threats to human, animal, and environmental health, recognizing their deep interconnectedness. This framework also encompasses social sciences such as anthropology, legal studies, sociology, psychology, political science, and economics.
As a fundamentally interdisciplinary and collaborative model, One Health is crucial for addressing complex health and environmental challenges. Therefore, the workshop will emphasize the importance of applying this approach to better understand and mitigate contemporary global health and environmental issues.
The workshop will be a hybrid format. To acces the event online, click on this LINK.
