Participation at International Conferences
Many of our colleagues participated at international conferences during the summer.

Between 13–19 June the 8th Conference of European Survey Research Association (ESRA) was held in Zagreb (Croatia). Zoltán Kmetty and Júlia Koltai gave a lecture on the following topics:

  • Zoltán Kmetty–Ádám Stefkovics–Anna Vancsó–Dániel Váry: Acquiring Personal Facebook Data – Is it Still Possible?
  • Ádám Stefkovics–Zoltán Kmetty–Júlia Koltai: Assessing the Effect of Questionnaire Design on Unit and Item Nonresponse: Evidence from an Online Experiment.

Between 17–19 June the 5th International Conference on Computational Social Science was held in Amsterdam (Netherlands). Zoltán Kmetty, Júlia Koltai, and Tamás Rudas gave a lecture on The presence of social structure in online texts based on word embedding NLP models. Renáta Németh and Fanni Máté gave poster presentation on Bio, psycho, or social – Discursive framing of depression in online health communities.

Between 15–17 August Zoltán Kmetty, Júlia Koltai, and Tamás Rudas presented at the RC28 Summer Meeting, Princeton (New Jersey, USA) as well.

Eszter Berényi, Zsófia Nagy, Ildikó Barna, Andrienne Csizmady, and Domonkos Sik presented at the sessions of the 14th Conference of the European Sociological Association (Manchester, UK) between 20–23 August.
