Journal selection
Several of the international database providers offer a service that allows you to search among the journals they provide.
Here you can enter the title, abstract, or keywords of your topic. On the basis of these, the searchers make a proposal in which journal it would be worth publishing:
Journal check
When choosing a journal, it is worth checking that the journal has the expected scientific aspects:
- The rank of the journal is shown by the scientific metrics.
- You can check whether the journal has been indexed in the subscribed databases.
- The prestige value of journals can be checked using the following sites: Journal Citation Report (JCR), Scimago Journal & Country Rank (SJR)
- A list of Open Access journals can be found at Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
Library service
The staff of our library can help the Faculty's lecturers/researchers in the following ways:
- Based on the criteria given by the instructor/researcher in the selection of the journal(s) that can be considered.
- In checking the scientific index and prestige value of the indicated journals.
