Europe Day held on 9 May every year celebrates peace and unity in Europe.

The date marks the anniversary of the historic Schuman declaration that set out  French foreign minister Robert Schuman's idea for a new form of political cooperation in Europe, which would make war between Europe's nations unthinkable.

But where do we stand now? In order to remember the Day of Europe and discuss about our common results and challenges, Zoltán Simon, Ph.D. Honorary Associate Professor Faculty of Social Sciences, ELTE Budapest University is invited to held his open lecture on the recent challenges and questions of the European foreign policy and external actions in a changing global world.

The event is organised by the Department of Human Rights an Politics in collaboration with INDOK and Fundamentum journal.
