The POLIR Institute Seeks Teaching Assistants

The TA’s task is to facilitate the educational activity of the Institute. They expect the application of at least second-year BA students, MA students in active status from our Hungarian and English International Relations programmes, as well as PhD students from the TáTK Doctoral School of Sociology.

Roles that they are searching applicants for:

1. Academic writing seminars - assisting teachers
2. Assisting with publications of teachers
3. Exam assistance (participation, grading)
4. Translations (Hungarian-English, English-Hungarian)
5. Admission committees: student member
6. Annual Institute Workshop (24-25 April 2025): organising, assisting during conference
7. International Conference on the Scientific Work of András Arató, Honorary Doctorate and Professor of ELTE (15-16 May 2025): organisation, assistance during the conference
8. Communications & programme organisation team
9. Community Room Organiser
10. Other tasks that may arise: exam paper reviews, helping to organise departmental events, assisting with teaching tasks, research assistance

Application deadline: 12th February 2025. midnight

Along the upcoming steps of the application process, the candidate can choose the task(s) he/she would like to work on during the semester and he/she can send the necessary documents (CV and cover letter) to the Institute later.

After the deadline, we will contact via e-mail those applicants who will be invited to participate in a personal interview.
