Between October 6 and 10, 2025, Dr. Laura Kromják and Dr. Katalin Turai, professors from the Department of Global and Development Studies at ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences, visited the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the Erasmus+ ICM KA131 staff teaching mobility program.
Their visit marked a significant step in enhancing interinstitutional collaboration between ELTE and IUS. It also laid the groundwork for the upcoming Erasmus+ ICM KA171 Project for the 2025–2028 cycle, which will enable student exchanges at the BA, MA, and PhD levels, as well as foster scientific cooperation between faculty members.
Dr. Kromják, the academic coordinator of the project, and Dr. Turai, Director of the International Relations BA Program, delivered guest lectures on topics including collective trauma, refugee rights, and global justice. Their contributions were warmly received by the IUS academic community.
Thanks to their successful joint grant application, the partnership between ELTE’s Institute of Political and International Studies and IUS’s Department of Political Science and International Relations is poised to grow stronger, promoting academic exchange and shared research initiatives.
ELTE Faculty of Social Sciences extends its gratitude to IUS and looks forward to a fruitful and long-term collaboration.
