Community and Civil Development Studies MA
About
Aims and Strengths of the Programme
The programme is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to undertake a variety of impactful tasks, including the following:
Our students actively drive community development initiatives and mobilize local populations to take action. They offer professional support for ongoing local efforts and facilitate collaboration between community groups, non-governmental organizations, and both the public and private sectors.
They play a key role in shaping local development plans and strategies, contributing to training programs, and helping to create new services and community enterprises. These may include non-profit information offices, community centers, advisory services, and innovative for-profit cooperatives.
By incorporating national and European opportunities, trends, and priorities, along with effective methodologies, our students provide valuable advice and suggest alternative solutions for local community groups.
They also support the development of local information systems, ensuring that community groups have access to the information they need.
Additionally, our students organize local movements, conferences, workshops, and forums. They establish partnerships with organizations focused on resource management and micro-regional development, including training institutions and employment centers.
