Study Mobility - Certificate of Attendance
1. Is it mandatory to submit the ELTE’s Certificate of Attendance template, or can I also send the host university’s template?
To verify the duration of the mobility period, it is required to complete the ELTE’s template. However, if the host institution’s regulations restrict the use of external forms for issuing and signing the Certificate of Attendance, students may use the host institution’s form instead (e.g., I FIRENZE01 - Università degli Studi di Firenze).
2. Is the start and the end of mobility calculated according to the dates indicated in the Certificate of Attendance document?
In the Certificate of Attendance document the receiving university must indicate the exact period of time of the mobility, the starting date of the student’s studies as well as when they completed their studies. If the verified dates fall outside the semester period, the receiving university must provide an explanation in the comments section why earlier arrival was necessary (e.g., participation in a language course before the start of classes) and why a later departure was required (e.g., retake exams). In the absence of such justification, only the period falling within the study period of the host university will be accepted. If the duration stated in the Certificate of Attendance document differs by more than 5 days from the initially specified duration (as stated in the Grant Agreement), the scholarship will be recalculated. This may result in a repayment request if the second instalment does not cover the difference (before mobility, only 90% of the total scholarship is transferred; the remaining 10% is paid after submission of the closing documents), but it may also result in an additional scholarship payment. Therefore, the scholarship is only granted for the period spent abroad in connection with the studies.
3. Who will sign my Certificate of Attendance?
The duration of your mobility will be certified on the Certificate of Attendance by the host university’s international/Erasmus+ coordinator or an officially designated representative. If you have any questions regarding the signatory, please contact the host university via email.
