Host university registration
1. What does the nomination and the conditionally nominated mean?
Students who have applied for study abroad mobility are nominated to the partner institution by the faculty coordinators. The nomination deadlines vary from institution to institution, so you might be conditionally nominated by your faculty coordinator before you are officially informed of the outcome of your application. So, it can happen that you are contacted by the host institution before the official notification of your application result.
2. I won the scholarship, but the host university still hasn’t contacted me. What can I do?
The official nomination of the student is sent by the faculty international coordinator to the host university via email or through the designated online platform. After this, the host university will communicate important application details directly to the student via email. If a student does not receive an information email from the host university by the end of April (for autumn mobility) or by the end of October (for spring mobility), they should contact the faculty international coordinator via email as soon as possible.
3. I received an email from ELTE about being conditionally nominated, but the host university sent an email about a successful nomination. What does it mean?
The nomination sent before the official decision and notification regarding the submitted Erasmus+ scholarship application is always conditional and only becomes official upon receiving the Erasmus+ status. Once the student is informed of their successful Erasmus+ application through the official notification issued based on the decision of the Students and Staff Mobility Committee, the conditional nomination is automatically considered a successful and final nomination.
4. The host university needs the Transcript of Records. Where can I get it?
A certified Transcript of Records is issued by the student’s academic registrar at the Academic Registrar’s Office. Information about the Academic Registrar’s Office and the academic registrars' contact details can be found here.
5. The host university requests the Certificate of Erasmus+ scholarship. Where can I get it?
The Erasmus+ Scholarship Certificate is issued by the Faculty International Office. If the host university requires this certificate for registration, please notify the faculty international coordinator via email.
6. I do not have an official language certificate that the host university would accept. What can I do?
If the host university, according to the information published on their website, accepts a certificate of language proficiency issued by the sending university, the document will be issued by the International Office. Please contact your faculty international coordinator via email and request the issuance of the certificate of language proficiency.
7. I do not have an official language certificate, but I’m enrolled in a programme instructed in English. How and where can I issue the document required to prove language proficiency?
If the host university, according to the information published on their website, accepts a certificate of language proficiency issued by the sending university, the document will be issued by the International Office. Please contact your faculty international coordinator via email and request the issuance of the certificate of language proficiency.
8. Can I prove my language proficiency by completing the OLS test?
If the OLS test is listed among the required and accepted documents for language proficiency by the host university, then yes. If it is not listed, but the host university accepts a certificate of language proficiency issued by the sending university, the document will be issued by the International Office. Please contact your faculty international coordinator via email and request the issuance of the certificate of language proficiency.
