Study Mobility - Erasmus+ scholarship, tuition fees
1. How can I apply for additional financial support?
Applications should be submitted via Mobility-Online. You can apply for additional funding by filling in the "Fill in application for additional financial support for students with fewer opportunities" questionnaire in the student workflow and upload the documents required to apply for additional support for each of the eligibility criteria. You can find more detailed information about the application and the required documents at the following link.
2. I missed the deadline for the application of additional financial support. Can I still apply?
3. As a self-funded student, do I still need to pay the tuition fee when I will be an Erasmus+ exchange student abroad?
Yes. Only students with an active student status are eligible to participate in the Erasmus+ study mobility programme, provided that they fulfil the financial obligations required for enrolment. Consequently, students must also pay their tuition fee for the semester they spend on mobility.
4. I will be an Erasmus+ exchange student. Do I still need to pay the English language curriculum development fee?
Yes. Only students with an active student status are eligible to participate in the Erasmus+ study mobility programme, provided that they fulfil the financial obligations required for enrolment. Consequently, students must also pay their English language curriculum development fee for the semester they spend on mobility.
5. Next semester I’m going to be an Erasmus+ exchange student. When do I need to pay the tuition fee?
You will be informed via Neptun about the payment and the deadline of the tuition fee (usually for the autumn semester the deadline is 15th of October, for the spring semester the deadline is 15th of March). Please make sure you pay your tuition fee on time as your active student status depends on it, which is prerequisite for receiving the Erasmus+ grant.
6. Do I need to have a euro-based bank account to receive the scholarship? Is Revolut/Wise acceptable?
Yes. We recommend that you open a euro-based account for your Erasmus+ scholarship. Revolut and Wise are also acceptable.
7. When can I expect to receive the scholarship?
The first instalment (90%) of your scholarship is expected to be transferred within 4 weeks of the receipt of the signed Grant Agreement. Attention! The Department of Erasmus+ and International Programmes (ENPO) of ELTE undertake the above deadlines only in case of complete documentation and completion, if amendment is needed, the Grant Agreement will be sent with some delay!
8. When can I expect to receive the remaining 10% of my scholarship?
The remaining 10% of your scholarship will be transferred after the successful completion of the mobility and the fulfilment of the obligations set out in the Grant Agreement.
9. I have to repay part or all of my Erasmus+ scholarship? What options do I have?
If the amount of the Erasmus+ scholarship to be reimbursed is covered by the remaining 10% of the scholarship that has not yet been disbursed, this amount will be deducted accordingly. If the remaining 10% is not sufficient to cover the amount to be reimbursed, the student will be responsible for paying the outstanding balance.
Regarding the payment:
Students may request an instalment payment plan. To do so, please contact your faculty international coordinator.
If the student was unable to fulfil their obligations due to justifiable reasons, which resulted in the need to reimburse part or all of the scholarship, they may submit a request for exemption. The request should be addressed to the Vice Dean for International Affairs and sent in an official, signed, or authenticated PDF format to nkdh@tatk.elte.hu. There is no official template for the exemption request, but students should clearly explain the justifiable reasons in their application. If possible, they should also attach the Transcript of Records issued by the host institution.
Failure to repay the scholarship will result in the student not being allowed to take the final exam!
