Study Mobility - Grant Agreement
1. What should I do to receive the Grant Agreement?
Before starting the mobility, the student must complete the before the mobility tasks in order to receive the Grant Agreement issued by the ELTE Department of Erasmus+ and International Programmes, which is a prerequisite for the disbursement of the Erasmus+ scholarship. As part of the before the mobility tasks, the student will need to complete a questionnaire, take the OLS test, provide proof of insurance (e.g., European Health Insurance Card), and submit the Learning Agreement signed by all parties: the outgoing student, the programme director, and the host university. Detailed information on the before the mobility tasks can be found by clicking the link.
You can find the contact details of the programme directors at the following link: BA/BSc programme directors; MA/MSc programme directors
2. I have completed every required step for receiving the Grant Agreement. When can I expect to receive it?
The personalised Grant Agreement will be prepared and sent to the student only after completing the before the mobility tasks completely and correctly. For students realizing their mobility in the Fall semester, the ELTE Department of Erasmus+ and International Programmes will send the finalised Grant Agreement at the beginning of July at the earliest! The personalised Grant Agreement will be prepared within 10 working days of receipt
3. The host university did not provide information about the start/end date of the semester. What should I write as dates of the mobility?
The start and end dates of the mobility always refer to the actual study period spent abroad, which will be certified by the host institution at the end of the mobility. The scholarship can only be granted for this period, so it is essential to provide the dates carefully. It is the student's responsibility to obtain the necessary information in advance.
The study mobility period usually coincides with the official semester start and end dates at the host university. However, certain academic-related activities—such as pre-semester language courses, preparatory training, or orientation programmes—may be included. Simply arriving earlier to settle in does not affect the official start date. The same rule applies to the end date of the mobility.
The start date should be the first day the student is required to be physically present at the host university for mobility-related activities, such as enrolment, orientation day, a preparatory language course, or the first day of the academic period. If the exact date is unknown, the student should contact the host university's international coordinator via email.
The end date should ideally be the last day of the examination period.
Important: If the period stated in the Grant Agreement differs by more than 5 days from the period certified in the Certificate of Attendance, the scholarship amount will be recalculated. This could result in:
- A repayment request if the second instalment of the scholarship does not cover the difference (since only 90% of the total grant is transferred before mobility, with the remaining 10% paid after submitting the final documents).
- An additional scholarship payment if the certified period is longer than originally planned.
4. The host university hasn’t signed the Learning Agreement yet. Can I still receive the Grant Agreement?
No. The Learning Agreement, approved by all parties, is one of the requirements for issuing the Grant Agreement.
5. The start/end date of the mobility has changed. How can I change it in the Grant Agreement?
Any request for a contract modification after the start of the mobility should be communicated via email to the faculty's international coordinator, who will provide detailed instructions on the necessary steps.
6. I entered the wrong data when filling out the Grant Agreement. How can I change it?
If you find an error in the Grant Agreement, you can report it on the Mobility Online platform by clicking on the "Optional: Indicate in case received grant agreement is incorrect" link in the Before the mobility – Scholarships section.
7. Can I change my bank account number?
Bank account details can be updated in the Mobility-Online workflow by clicking on the "Fill in bank details" link. This must be done before the Grant Agreement is signed and before submitting the final documents to ensure that the scholarship is transferred to the correct bank account.
