Financial Management Research Group

Overview

The Financial Management Research Group works within the academic and professional framework of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Eötvös Loránd University. It studies how companies manage their finances, use information to support business decisions, and plan for the future. The group works at the intersection of business economics and corporate finance. Its main research areas include corporate financial decisions and financial performance, investment and business financing, accounting, controlling, management accounting, and the methodological development of financial planning and forecasting. Our aim is to support the Faculty’s teaching and research profile in business and economics through academic publications, conference presentations, company case studies, student research projects, and practice-oriented financial models and analyses.

Planned professional activities

  • preparing academic publications in financial management, corporate finance, accounting, and controlling;

  • organising conference presentations and professional workshops;

  • preparing company case studies and practice-oriented financial analyses;

  • supporting student research projects, Scientific Students’ Association papers, and thesis topics;

  • developing teaching materials, methodological materials, and financial modelling examples;

  • cooperating with companies and professional partners in studying practical issues in financial management.
