Author identifiers
The purpose of author identifiers is to clearly link the author/researcher and the publication. In this way, the publication of the author/researcher's publication and its impact can be followed, even if the author continues his work at another institution.
It also linking different variations of the same name or the name variants.
The author ID registration is regulated by Rector order no.5/2017. (V.2.) at ELTE.
The policy reqires the use of 4 author identifiers:
- ORCID
- ResearcherID
- Google scholar ID
- Scopus ID (Someone can only have a Scopus ID if they have at least one publication in the database. This is automatically generated by the system when the publication is added to the database. Therefore, the existence of this on our faculty is not mandatory.)
