Karolina Lendák-Kabók and Judit Végh presented their paper “Hungary as a Dual Migration Space: Transnational Family Dynamics in a Sending–Receiving Context” at the 17th European Sociological Association (ESA) Conference, held in Warsaw on 25–28 August 2026.

The presentation was based on a small-scale study conducted within the framework of the TraFaDy COST Action. The research explored Hungary’s distinctive position as both a sending and receiving migration space and examined how this dual context shapes the everyday experiences and dynamics of transnational families.

The study also connects to the broader research interests of the MIXED Research Group, particularly its focus on the intersections of mobility, family relations, and identity.
