My research focuses on the subjective experience of gender and its socio-spatial embeddedness. I approach gender not as a stable identity, but as a route, a form of orientation and navigation: I am interested in how gender can become lived, narrated, and traversed within urban space. In my doctoral research, I explore experiences of gender journey through walking interviews conducted with trans and non-binary participants in Budapest and Lisbon, drawing on contemporary psychoanalytic, queer theoretical, phenomenological, and human geographical approaches. My additional research interests include the potential role of walking in supportive or therapeutic conversations, as well as psychoanalytic interpretations of the oeuvre of El Kazovszkij.
